I recently realized something about every dream of mine that I can remember (and I remember them well): whenever I try to keep a secret of any kind, it gets discovered in about ten seconds max. The only exceptions are when I wake up too soon.

This may connect with my strong tendency to honesty when awake. Maybe it didn't start out so much a hatred of lies as a lack of confidence in my ability to tell them convincingly.

Good Thing

Well, you should and probably do consider it a good thing that you DO tell the truth. Honesty is one of the greatest virtues, but has become so hard to come by. Another thing is, I have more trouble keeping secrets than I do my lunch on a roller coaster right after eating. If I hear or have something secret, I feel as though I NEED to tell someone, or else it will eat me up inside. But then it's not just one person, it's another and another and another. But I have never told a secret that I have promised NOT to say anything about.

Sounds like me. Of course, in my dreams, the secrets don't get out by me telling. More like someone happening upon a hiding spot. Or ye olde dream nudity.
