Poetry Week, Day 3: My Little Poem...y

Who can explain what goes on in my brain
When I watch this ridiculous show?
It’s perfectly clear that the subject is geared
Toward children, like decades ago.
If that’s not enough, it’s all girly and stuff;
By all rights, I should find it quite cloying.
Just see those distortions with fetal proportions.
What business do I have enjoying
These six female friends with designs on their ends
And the dragon kid taking their notes,
Which spell out the lesson each episode’s stressin’
To kids as the network promotes?
Whatever the reason, I hope the new season
Continues to cause me to smile.
There’s many a fan who in fact is a man,
And we’ll share an odd interest a while.
