One Dull Day

True Knowledge (later Evi) was an English company
From William Tunstall-Pedoe to produce technology,
Most notably an answer engine Amazon would buy
And use to make Alexa (hope the selling price was high).

In 2010, True Knowledge sought to analyze which day
Within the prior century had least of all to say
In terms of news. The team at last proclaimed the biggest bore
Was April the 11th back in 1954.

What happened then? Well, Belgium held a general election,
And all the other “major” news belongs in a sports section.
I hadn’t even heard of any people who were born
Or died then, so perhaps the date deserves that kind of scorn.

Now you may think that that’s an unsupportable conclusion,
But other databases haven’t served to disillusion
The Tunstall-Pedoe team, so I will take them at their word.
I won’t be digging deeper, ‘cause I’m not that kind of nerd.
