Turns out you can get hooked on adjectives, too. The latest speaker I transcribed was a PowerPoint presenter, so she should have been more prepared than Ms. Essentially. In less than a half-hour, she used "important" 37 times, 18 times preceded by "very" and 5 preceded by "very, very." She also used "significant" six times and "crucial" twice.
Kinda gives me the impression she needed to reassure herself that the subject really mattered.
