[deckardcanine]

The claws are made for burrowing; the teeth are made for meat.
The body’s canine as a whole but catlike in the feet.
One end is thick with fluffy fur, the other full of wits.
Such elements are useful to survive and raise one’s kits.

Their looks and sounds endear us, but the smell could make you cough.
What’s worse is when they leave a mark; it’s hard to get it off.
You need to give them lots of space before they trash your house.
Don’t let your children grab one, or he’ll treat them like a mouse.

If still you want one for a pet, then here’s some news to cheer ya:
Biologists domesticated several in Siberia.
In certain jurisdictions, you can be a lawful keeper.
But I myself would sooner get a dog: I hear they’re cheaper.
