(no subject)
Some of my dress shirts have developed small blackish smudges near the middle of the placket* edges, especially on the left from the wearer's POV. I gave up on washing them out of some older shirts. Now they're appearing on one I've barely worn (mercifully gray).
I just wish I knew their source. My first thought was the metro, but I don't press myself up to poles or anything that way. Then I noticed that the edge of my office desk was a little grimy, but I'm sure I don't brush against it that often or at those points on the shirt especially.
All I can do is be more careful in general. I'm getting tired of paying little attention to my clothes until they become nearly unpresentable.
*Yes, I had to look up the word for the vertical fabric strip with the buttonholes.
