Mom told me she recently met a fox on her jog. By "met" I mean they ran past each other on a narrow sidewalk, making eye contact.

Some years back, my dad and sister saw a fox while waiting at the bus stop near their home. (I don't think the fox wanted a bus.)

Dang it, I love foxes more than anyone else in my family, yet I'm the only one who hasn't seen one in RL. And I've been to those same locations and more within or near the same woods. What gives?

You may think it's better this way. Looking at foxes in photos and online videos runs no risk of a rabid attack, and they reputedly have a strong stench. I certainly wouldn't pet a wild fox. Still, I wanna see one.

I saw one outside the hotel at Midwest FurFest a few years ago. There are rumored to be some who pop up a few miles away from me in the rural areas, but the probability of me seeing one on a long walk isn't high enough to be worth the trip.

I saw one once, this past spring. It was walking across our yard late one night at just the moment I happened to go in the bathroom to brush my teeth and looked out the window.

I want to `rassle a fox. I don't care if it bites me. It's like wrestling an unruly dog. I'll probably win or have a good laugh if I don't.
