Two things to make me antsy lately:
1. I recently waited several days to hear from the most promising group house I've encountered yet, only to hear that there was a communication failure and I should have been notified that it was taken. It was bad luck for me: I came at a pre-arranged time, but only one person was there, and she didn't have the final word on the lease. I sent an email to the designated contact asking for a time to meet the rest; he said he'd work something out, but he never did in time. The market is competitive, and never have I wished more to be outwardly interesting. I'm surely at a disadvantage for selling myself, being naturally inclined to keep to myself a lot (cyberspace excepted). Fortunately, my folks assure me that there's no external pressure for me to move out within the month.
2. I've scanned a drawing that I intend to submit to the Paperspace community, but I've never posted a scanned image in LiveJournal before. It has to be on a Web site. Making a site is one of the many life skills I'm late to learn, and I don't know how to find any premade sites that would accept an upload. I IMed a friend about it, and he promptly sent me a link to a site that could help, but I got distracted in another IM conversation and closed the window.
Before I try to buzz him again, could someone else please clue me in? I don't have FrontPage, and I'd rather not spend more money after that scanner, but I will if need be.
My submission ultimately might be a saving grace for Paperspace, which hasn't seen an update in over a month.
