The Little Werewolf

My baby nephew said, “Ah-ooh, ah-ooh,”
Perhaps just trying noises with his yap.
In any case, I told his nana dear,
“You have a little werewolf in your lap.”

I meant it as a joke, but now I see
How frequently they need to trim his hair.
He’s also very int’rested in dogs
And such. I think the moniker is fair.

I’ve heard he can be active in the night.
I’d like to watch him when the moon is full,
Or when he’s older, maybe we can check
His teeth the morning after for some wool.
