When I consider Hurricane Wilma, it's awfully petty to complain that it forced my family to replan our vacation in late November and early December. My present gripe, however, is with the hotel policy. We got only a quarter of our money back on the hotel reservation. They keep $750 of ours, which seems very unfair when the fact is that no airline can take us there in time.

Anyway, our new destination is St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands. That should be nice, altho I retain the dissatisfaction of being the only member of my immediate family never to have visited Mexico.

Actually, now I understand it was a condo, and my folks had agreed to the terms in print before the disaster. There's really nothing to do about it.
