I find it very interesting that you have chosen to be a Christian when your Christian side of the family was/is not very Christian and your Jewish side seems to be very devout. Now that you are a Christian, do you find yourself honoring your Jewish relatives more than you did before?

I'd say neither more nor less. They've always been dear to me, and I respect -- maybe even cherish -- Judaism now as much as ever.

That said, "devout" may be a stretch. My dad told me he practices Jewish rituals for love of his heritage rather than actual beliefs. I'm not sure about my aunt, but she too married a nonreligious person with no Jewish background. My late grandfather was probably the most devout relative I knew.
