Flash Pro CS5 is working fine for me now. Thanks for your assistance and attempts thereof,
stevenroy and
octan!
When I looked up the PC's properties, I got a reminder that its name is Vera. This made me laugh, because I'm now familiar with the TV Tropes page I Call It Vera, which is about guys naming their weapons. Furthermore, I've been on a "Firefly" kick lately -- just finished the series last night -- and that's the source of the trope title: Jayne referring to his favorite gun (tho he says "her" instead of "it"). I'm pretty sure I named this Vera myself, yet I'm just as sure that I didn't know the trope or the quotation at the time. Maybe that amoral mercenary thug and I have something in common, at least in terms of names we consider pretty and underused.
Or maybe I just wanted a PC with Vista on it to start with V and end with A. If so, it was probably the best choice I knew. "Vanessa" is a little long, "Velma" evokes an amateur detective, and "Vanna" evokes a woman famous for little more than looking good.
